megumi: my medicine box is in your room bring it over please megumi: window is open
[ she does not want him coming in through the door and alerting anyone else also the medicine box is the one she keeps in her bag for emergencies with the painkilling powders and dressings and such. ]
[ What he might initially see is just her holding her arm (which is bandaged all the way to her shoulder) and her in her miqo'te separates outfit, which is the easiest outfit to bandage herself in. And wearing a cloak over herself.
She does seem flushed, though, and when she spots him, she moves over to the window, trying to play it off though her eyes do adjust to the darkness to look over him. ]
[Surely parroting it back at her will distract her yes? He climbs up, over, into the room, in careful, measured, movements. Sets the medicine box and thermos down to gently close the window..............
[ It's a relief to have his cold, but even she can tell this is more than usual. ]
I did. See him, that is. Seems like you did, too...
[ She grimaces a bit, pulling back a moment to look at him and scanning his body, then she sighs and draws back her cloak to reveal her bandaged arm and shoulder. ]
[He doesn't let her see his injured tail, but the blanket is already draped oddly around the both of them, and he's pretty sure she's going to be able to tell immediately what he'd done once she notices, but the virtue of her patching him up several weeks ago.]
I do have some of it. But it's - like I said, a while back. Tempered. I can heal you completely, but there you will acquire some lesser injury.
[Starting to bully her back towards her bed, to sit her down.]
[ She lets him move her back to the bed, but once she is there, she'll move to tug his blanket to take a look at his back and tail because that was the only part she couldn't see- ]
[His face is doing that weird thing where he's trying not to pout but his self-control is Absolutely Gutted so he wants to pout but he needs to somehow come out on top of the incoming argument so he just ends up grimacing.
[ It's instinctive- the way her free hand rises and - she instantly casts a cure with her regen on him. At least to start easing his pain to begin with, before frowning and-
She nods. ]
I probably wasn't the only one, if he got you too. You let him, then?
[ Pointed look. You know, just in case she can get one up over him to scold him... which she can't because she, in fact, allowed Sett to eat her. ]
Jing Yuan and Dan Heng were also... introduced to his hospitality.
[He goes to sit down next to her, then, their knees touching each other as he reaches out to draw her hair over her uninjured shoulder. The spell she'd cast lifts some of his pallor, gradually, and he cants his head to the side.]
You already know the answer to that. Better me than someone else at the time. I don't mind.
[ She watches him sit, the numbing powder having been doing some amount of work through the day to ease her and leaning into his touches without hesitating or even leaning away. ]
But the thought of Jing Yuan and Dan Heng in pain isn't one I like, either... Jing Yuan had been eaten through, too. And you... I couldn't help anyone at all in this state.
I'm the best healer here, even without all mine magic at hand. Get it right, arse.
[ There's a smirk- though what he'll reveal (despite it being very well dressed for the kind of wound it is) is most of her left arm devoured enough to reach bone but just stopping short of cracking it- enough that she still has some use and motion in it though she hasn't been using it. And so she's covered it, all the way to her shoulder, which is also suffering the same fate.
Once revealed, it's a rather painful sight; she sighs. ]
Do what you can... Vastella will have to do the rest, but I don't want them to have to drain themselves more than necessary if we can do it halfway through.
[Dan Feng's face twists into - something. Inhuman, and violently unsettling, eyes focused on the scraps of flesh and sinew and pink bone.
His mouth opens quiet, fangs with threads of saliva. His hands curl into claws. He wants to see more, he wants to see her marrow, he wants to strip the muscle and fat and hear her scream and cry under the same pain he had to endure all of those centuries and
He looks up at her face. Looks back down, and visibly struggles with himself, hands trembling.]
[There's the sweet, overripe smell of his magic, a brief feeling of euphoria, and the flesh on her arm regenerates. There's still swathes of raw skin, but now it's more surface-level injury, like a bad abrasion, or burns.
She'll feel it immediately: her warm-bloodedness seems to evaporate, and she'll plummet into chills instantly.]
[ Though there isn't any change to her body language, or resistance, she is vigilant, ears lowered to the sides of her head as she watches the reaction on him.
And then the chills begin, making her sit up in alarm, feeling like ice has run right through her and she closed her eyes, feeling like any tears she might shed will end up frozen with how sharp that chill is. It happens so suddenly, but almost immediately, she clutches his arm with her hand, feeling desperate for contact, any kind... ]
... cold. Don't go...
[ He's not going anywhere, what's wrong with her... ]
That is the consequence of my magic. [He curls his hands under her thighs, and tugs her close, trying to get her to sit on his lap.] How cold? [Dan Feng chalks up the don't go to her just being her normal self.]
[ She's shaking like a leaf, though flushed for some reason?? Everything feels wrong, and when she's pulled onto his lap, she quickly pushes herself against him. ]
'tis better... like this. I feel like I can't be away from you. 'tis painful.
[????? is this some weird short lifer romance thing? Dan Feng presses the back of a hand up under her bangs - she's cold to the touch - and then changes his mind to try and nudge her off, going to stand to get fresh bandages.]
[ SHE'S NOT THIS NEEDY FOR COMFORT. But when he starts to pull away she almost instinctively reaches out to grab him back but it's the raw soreness in her arm that stops her. ]
[Dan Feng, who is used to patients doing odd things, breaks their contact completely to crouch at her medicine box. It's true that even he doesn't know what side effects his healing has, but he has a rough idea of the threshhold of seriousness.]
[He stills, then, and then immediately stands back up, medicine kit in hand, to go back to her; he sits back down and reaches out to take her hand, and continues to dig for bandages with the other.]
It may take a day to resolve. Or- longer. [Dan Feng murmurs, quiet, but not out of guilt.]
« day 30, night-ish »
megumi: window is open

Re: « day 30, night-ish »
[But it is literally less than ten minutes before he's peeking through her windows, huddled in a thick blanket and holding a thermos.
He's just going to stand there though.]
Re: « day 30, night-ish »

... what did you do.

Definitely not avoiding the question.]
I am not your delivery man.
Re: « day 30, night-ish »
[ Blunt, but his reaction is confirming he did, in fact, do something stupid (like her, not that she knows he did the same stupid thing).
She thanks him for what he's brought under her breath, though for a moment she just. Pushes her head against his chest. She is burning up. ]
I know you were helping Settrigh.
[ With what, she doesn't know yet, but she actually means to be appreciative that he was. How Dan Feng translates that, though... ]
Re: « day 30, night-ish »
You've no right to be mad, you should've seen him.
[He parts her bangs to press his lips to her forehead, half in affection and half to take her temperature.]
What do you need?

He shucks off the blanket, folding it neatly.]
Did he do that to you.

Re: « day 30, night-ish »
Why does it matter if you can help or not? You are not the only healer in this place. Don't think of yourself so highly.

Anxious. 'tis an abnormal anxiety. Perhaps 'tis one triggered by lack of contact?
