[for all randy's overall relaxed manner up til now, he's extremely businesslike in this moment, hawk-eyed for danger and heading into the foodland ASAP if he doesn't see any.]
Well, Neuvi'll smell it before he sees it: blood, still somewhat fresh. It's not like he's stranger to Valencia's particular muted campfire scent either, even obscured by blood.
When they finally reach the front, they'll find... a relatively small area of carnage, actually. Most of the mess is from a whole broken down van that's apparently been bodily thrown in front of the entryway doors to the store.
Before it is a messy splatter of blood and bits of gore, hair, and clothing, all shredded apart. There's some strange fur, as well, in places easy to miss. Slightly to the side of all that is a knife-- the newer one Valencia had received from a burden somewhat recently.
[ Neuvillette does indeed follow the scent of blood to the massacre, frowning deeply as he takes it all in. He wonders if it was the deer woman once more or another threat.
His eyes fall to the knife as he kneels to pick it up, turning it over slowly in his hands. ]
...I saw Valencia with this the day before. Her scent is intermingled with the scent of blood and several other scents.
[ He does not spend enough time around Sett or any of the others involved to match them well. ]
[stepping along the edge of the mess, taking in the details as best he can.]
Something really strong got involved. A car...
[jigsaw says he does not notice the fur, tragically, but he is trying to figure out the nature of the incident from the shape of the mess. he's not a forensics guy or anything though.]
Only Valencia's, but she was definitely not alone.
[ He uses his dingy phone camera to snap a few pictures of the crime scene before he slides the knife into his pocket to return to Valencia later. ]
I do not know how we can get inside without moving the vehicle, but all those involved may have already perished. We will have to go to the morgue to get any further answers.
[ A few drops of rain suddenly start to sprinkle down on top of Neuvillette alone. ]
She doesn't have a feline nor any feline features, but her mate, Sett, does. I do not know if he was with her at the time of death, but it is highly possible.
I may be able to significantly move it with water. The geyser-like blast of my hydromancy should jostle the van at least a few feet if it was able to send Wriothesley through a glass window.
[ He has no idea what's going on, but he's already checking to see if he can squeeze himself between the van and the front of Foodland, thinking it may be easier if he blasts water from the right side to move it as a back-up plan. ]
[so. the thing is. randy's universe operates on an ENTIRELY different technological system. they have cars, but electricity is uncommon and combustion engines are old rare tech.
[ Water gushes out of his hand in a giant cannon that manages to move the van backwards and out of the way of the supermarket's double doors but also soaks the ground around them with muddy water. ]
...My apologies. I was hoping to avoid this, but at least, no one will be trapped inside or denied access any longer.
Let us check the inside thoroughly to make sure it is empty.
Re: late afternoon 29
[ He starts searching around the perimeter once they get close enough to Foodland. ]
Please tell me if you spot anything unusual.

Are any of the other scents familiar?

Re: late afternoon 29
They wind up there by default?
[...why is it raining on lettie-]
Re: late afternoon 29
They do when the murder is spontaneous. After games, the deceased tend to wake up in the graveyard.
[ Jigsaw lets him notice the fur, so he does crouch once more to poke at the ground before touching one of the clumps of fur strewn on the grass. ]
I had wondered if the deer woman could transform much like her brother had when Wriothesley and I fought him, but this does not seem like deer fur.
Re: late afternoon 29
[oop, catching a glimpse of something shiny off to the side, heading over to investigate-- ah. her phone and some groceries.]
Re: late afternoon 29
[ He wishes he had evidence bags to put it all in, but he does take another grainy photograph. ]
Can you please collect whatever other effects you manage to find? We can bring them to her at the morgue.

[nodding, though, shoving the phone into his inv-

Re: late afternoon 29
Have you met him yet?
Re: late afternoon 29
Re: late afternoon 29
[ He walks over to the van and inspects it, unsure if a human and a dragon are enough to move it...maybe if he still had all his powers intact. ]
Re: late afternoon 29
How strong are you?
Re: late afternoon 29
Re: late afternoon 29
You go ahead, man.
Re: late afternoon 29
[ He steps up to the van and opens the passenger door so Randy can get in that way. ]
Please let me know if there is any way I can facilitate the process.

Yeah, no, we're gonna wanna waterworks this.
Re: late afternoon 29
[ Maybe if he stripped down and lubricated himself, but he's not going to do that in public... ]
Very well. Please stand behind me for your own safety.

[scrambling the fuck out of the line of fire, thanks.]
