"You are no longer the Dan Feng I know," he says, and in the sad smile that knifes across Yingxing's face, you see the end.

the shoreline:

The Sword Master visits you once, twice, where you lie in the dirt, surrounded by the twisted abominations of your god.

"I survived losing her," she tells you, not unkindly. Even with her eyes covered, you know she sees the rotting corpse you are clutching, like a child holding a broken toy. "Why couldn't you?"

"You are stronger than me," you answer. She pins you with a broken sword to your beloved like two halves of a butterfly's wings, like a concession. You let her. There is nothing else to do. Nothing left for you.

between the waves:

Some days you are lucid, and these days are the worst of them. You use Cloud-Piercer, the spear crafted by callused hands that you had loved, and cut down wide, bloody swathes of the Hunt. They deserve it, you think, blinded by the grief of having the object of your devotion take his own life instead of taking your hand. The Ambrosial Arbor flowers brightly above the massacre, the gold ginkgo leaves reflecting the poisonous gold now running through your veins.

The foot-soldiers part for their king. The Arbiter-General of the Luofu. He looks like devastation incarnate. He looks like the home you have destroyed with your own hands because you could not bear the meaning of loss. He looks like he wants to cry.

So as he is the arrow of the Hunt, you are the fruit of the Abundance, and where he must take, you must give. You raise your blade. He is the last, the best of you all.

a shipwreck:

"You must be more careful," you chide, clipping the bandages tight over her chest. She has sustained a sharp, jagged cut, across her shoulder, and you both know it was avoidable.

"Thank goodness you're here to patch me up," she croons, mysteriously aggravating as always. Kafka had a way of getting under your skin, and sitting there, a subcutaneous piercing. A tether to reality that you can admit to yourself that you need. She is happy about this.

"I can heal it," you offer, hesitant. Maybe the side effects won't be horrible. Last time you healed a scratch on Silver Wolf and she developed a temporary allergy to penicillin, but you miss being able to touch someone without eventually hurting them.

She takes your hand. Covers it with her own. Looks up sly at you through her lashes, and you are starkly reminded that you are both killers in your own rights.

"Always so good, Dan Feng," she says, saying your name like a curse. In some ways, and in a bureaucratic filing somewhere, she is right.

Give us a few words about your character’s personality:
- Dan Feng is extremely decisive and is used to his orders being followed. He is used to making hard decisions and has centuries of experience being the highest seat of government
- He's quite cold and arrogant (and he can back up the arrogance) around strangers, but he is, at his core – even after the events of the Sedition -- a kind and selfless person
- He is obsessive when it comes to the things/people he loves, enough that he would (and he has) commit his canon's equivalent of multiple violations against the Geneva Convention
- He can be very detached from things as he never really had the chance to be his own person; he had always and forever been his office. He is very good at compartmentalizing to weather things through
- At the heart of him he is a very lonely person, and what little bonds he has he cherishes, going out of his way to make them things or to spend time with them

AU Backstory:

- The Sedition failed because Yingxing, realizing the potential consequences of what they were doing, killed himself just before the attempt to resurrect Baiheng could be made.
- Dan Feng invokes the Ambrosial Arbor and the Transmutation Arcanum to resurrect Yingxing and is turned into an Emanator of the Abundance. The Ambrosial Arbor being revived and linked with one of the last children of Long the Permanence heralds the start of a protracted and devastating war between the denizens of the Abundance and the bearers of the Hunt on Xianzhou Luofu soil. Said flagship is considered lost and destroyed 400 years after the Sedition.
- Dan Feng has spent most of this war out of his mind and subsumed by his new Aeon, but majority of the destruction had been driven by his grief.
- After Luofu falls, Dan Feng runs away from the IPC, towards the endless sea of stars and discards his title of Imbibitor Lunae. Centuries after, he is recruited by the Stellaron Hunters, whose leader, Elio, promises to grant him his wish: a true death.

Character Abilities:
- As an Emanator of Abundance he has true immortality and consuming any part of his body or bodily emissions will grant some dubious flavor of healing or immortality as well - it usually comes with a side of madness and dramatic disfiguration.
- He has healing abilities from his draconic lineage but these are twisted by the Abundance, so all of his healing has some negative side effects.
- He has unparalleled control over bodies of water
- While his default state has draconic features, he can hide these with his magic
- He is trained as a doctor and is well-versed in various medical fields, which he uses for both benevolent and malevolent reasons
- He can fight hand-to-hand fairly well, and is most comfortable with a spear
